Composer is a command-line tool that is often used to install, maintain, and update certain PHP applications. It is available across all our services, however using it requires access to the SSH Shell for your account.
Please contact our support if you require SSH Shell access. It’s disabled by default but is available on request at no extra cost.
The SSH Shell is extremely capable but if used incorrectly can cause major damage to your websites. Be very careful what commands you run within your shell!
The composer tool itself is pretty complicated. For the most part, our technical support will not be able to assist with using the composer tool itself. Your website PHP application should come with detailed documentation that explains how to use composer.
