By joining the HostUpon Referral Program you acknowledge that you have read the terms and conditions, understand, and agree with them.
1. Joining the HostUpon Referral Program
By joining the Referral Program through your HostUpon client area you will automatically become a HostUpon referral and are bound by the terms of this agreement. Your participation in the program is solely for this purpose: to legally advertise our website to receive a commission on products purchased by your referral individuals.
2. Revocation of Referral Status
# Your referral application and status in the program may be suspended or terminated for any of the following reasons:
- Inappropriate advertisements (False claims, misleading hyperlinks)
- Spamming (mass email, mass newsgroup posting, etc…)
- Advertising on sites containing/promoting illegal activities
- Violation of intellectual property rights.
3. Referral Links
You may use graphic and text links both on your website and in emails. You may use the graphics and text provided to you by us, or you may create your own as long as they are deemed appropriate according to the conditions in 2.
4. Affiliate Tracking
When a visitor clicks through your referral link, a cookie is set in their browser that contains your unique tracking URL. Visitors sent through your referral link may make a purchase within 30 days of clicking on your link in order for the commission to be awarded.
5. Terms of the agreement
These terms will begin upon your signup with the referral program and will end when your referral account is terminated. The terms of this agreement may be modified by us at any time. If any modification to the terms is unacceptable to you, your only choice is to terminate your referral account. Your continuing participation in the program will constitute your acceptance of any change.
6. Liability
We will not be liable for indirect or accidental damages (loss of revenue, commissions) due to affiliate tracking failures, loss of database files, and any results of “intents of harm” to the program or our website. We do not make any expressed or implied warranties with respect to the referral program and/or products sold at this site. We make no claim that the operation of the referral program and our website will be error-free and we will not be liable for any interruptions or errors.
7. Payment
A signup is counted when a customer first clicks on your referral link, completes the signup process and stays active for 35 days.
* Payments made to PayPal addresses will be in USD.
* Referrals must generate a balance of $120 or more before they can request withdrawal.
* Commission payments are only paid via PayPal. If you cannot accept PayPal as a form of payment then a credit balance will be applied to your HostUpon account. This credit can only be used to purchase web hosting services at HostUpon.
* Referrals are responsible for any and all fees, taxes, exchange rates, surcharges and other expenses incurred in order to receive their commissions. Please check with your local banking institution and PayPal to find out if any of these apply for your area/country.
8. Reversals:
* Referrals that have been issued a refund within the first 31 days of service will be deducted from commissions owed.
* Referrals must have an active hosting account for 35 consecutive days or commissions will be reversed.
* Referrals that downgrade their hosting package below 1 year will be reversed.
* Referrals that are found to be fraudulent (false information, fake/stolen credit cards etc.) will be reversed.
* Referrals that issue a credit card charge back will be reversed.
*You cannot refer yourself even if you’re purchasing a new plan. All sales will be reviewed for eligibility. Your referral must be a new customer who has never had services with HostUpon.
* For the Shared Hosting and WordPress Hosting plans your referral must signup for a 1 year plan or longer. If your referral purchases a plan on a monthly billing cycle the commission will not count.
Deactivation:
* Referral accounts may be deactivated at any time without warning or advanced notice. Your account WILL BE DEACTIVATED and commissions set to $0 for failure to comply with the Referral Program Terms contained herein.
* Any false or misleading advertising or suspected fraudulent activity associated with your referral account will result in immediate deactivation.
* Referral accounts generating a large number of fraudulent accounts may be deactivated upon review.
* If you would like to discontinue your referral status, simply remove your affiliate links and no longer promote them. For accounting purposes your account and personal information will not be completely removed from our system.
