There are several ways to upload files to your website, but the most commonly used and most versatile is ‘FTP’ (File Transfer Protocol). In order to upload your files using FTP, you need to use what is known as an ‘FTP client’.
The FTP client is the program you run on your computer that connects to our server and uploads or downloads files from your webspace.
If you do not have an FTP client, you can Download FileZilla which is a free FTP client you can install on your computer to transfer files from your computer to your hosting account.
You must place your website files in either the public_html folder or www folder. These two directories are one in the same. Place your index.html or index.php files in either of these folders in order for them to load your website.
