HostUpon offers two types of SSL Certificates you can purchase for your domain name.
Option 1 – Premium SSL Certificate
Our Premium SSL Certificate will allow you to protect one domain name. This certificate will protect yourwebsite.com and www.yourwebsite.com.
Option 2 – Premium WildCard SSL Certificate
A WildCard SSL Certificate allows you to protect one domain name and any sub-domains for that domain name. A sub-domain is anything that prefixes your domain name.
A WildCard SSL would cover the following as an example:
yourdomain.com, www.yourdomain.com, blog.yourdomain.com, shop.yourdomain.com etc.
A WildCard SSL does NOT protect different domain names. In order to protect more than one domain name you would need to purchase a Premium SSL Certificate (option 1) for each website you wish to have SSL on.
Purchasing An SSL Certificate
To order either SSL Certificate you can do so from our SSL Certificate Store or from within your Client Area.
SSL Certificates can be purchased for a maximum of 1 year as of August 19th, 2020. When you purchase an SSL Certificate from HostUpon we will setup, configure and install it for free.
